Representative Brandon Guffey’s bill, H. 3583 Sexual Extortion passed the SC House on April 26. The bill is known as Gavin’s Bill to honor Brandon’s son who took his own life after being a victim of Sexual Extortion makes it a crime to ” intentionally and maliciously threatens to release private images of another in order to compel or attempt to compel the victim to do any act or refrain from doing any act against his will with the intent to obtain additional private images or anything else of value.”
